spcaLA is an independent, nonprofit animal welfare organization serving Southern California since 1877. Donations run programs and services including Cruelty Investigation, Disaster Animal Response Team, Humane Education and a variety of shelter services.

It’s March Madness at spcaLA! The 135-year-old animal welfare organization is getting in on the b-ball action with a bracket of cat teams complete with kitty players. During March Madness, spcaLA is offering two adoption specials for felines. With Double Dribble, you can adopt a team of two cats for the adoption fee of one. If you choose Ready for the Big Leagues, you can adopt an all-star — a cat one year or older for $25 off the adoption fee. All cats come spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, with a certificate for a free health exam.
spcaLA has plenty of dogs up for adoption as well, and Lizzy, a Terrier mix, is anxious to find her forever home. In her own words, “I am a sweet 1-year-old girl with lots of energy and love to give! I am good with other dogs and would be happy in a home with older kids. I am very smart and would love to learn agility! Please come by and see what makes me so special.”
